Here's how we treat personal data and keep it safe at simsherpa.com
We've deliberately kept the amount of personal information we collect on this website to a minimum. It's better for you and it's better for us.
On the whole, the main data we collect is measurement of what people do on our website. This is via two third parties: Google Analytics and Meta (Facebook). We detail how we work with these further down this page.
The only direct personal data we collect is your email address if you click on a deal and use our "Email Me This Deal" function. Even that, we don't store. You can read more about this below too.
We don't directly capture personal details and we don't pass on or sell stored information on people to other companies. But there are indirect ways we work with third parties that you can read about below too.

We have a whole page that details what cookies are and how we use them on our website. Please read our cookies policy here.
We let you choose to accept or reject cookies when you first enter our website and you can adjust your settings at any time using the big button on our cookie page on the link above.
Depending on which you choose to accept, our own cookies store data that includes: your cookie preferences and what deals you have click on.
The code on our website reads these cookies on your browser to change what it shows you. But this all happens on your device. They are "local" cookies. We don't have a copy. We don't store information from them ourselves.
But it's worth knowing that information collected by some of the cookies on this website will be handled by third parties: namely Google Analytics and Meta (Facebook). We give you the option to opt out of this happening. See below for more details on this.
When someone visits www.simsherpa.com, we ask them if they're happy to accept cookies from the third party service, Google Analytics (read more about the Analytics cookie here).
If they accept, Google Analytics collects standard internet log information and details of visitor behaviour patterns, like which search engine they've arrived on, what type of device they're using, which browser, a rough geographical location.
We use it to work out which of our pages are most popular, so that we can write even more interesting articles about that topic. We also use it to see which mobile deals on our site people are interested in and if our paid-marketing is effective.
The information in Google Analytics is only processed in a way which does not identify anyone. We do not make, and do not allow Google to make, any attempt to find out the identities of those visiting our website.
If you accept our Advertising cookies, this will enable tracking from Meta (Facebook) of what you do on our website. That means pages you visit and the things and deals you click on at SIM Sherpa.
If you don't want this to happen, simply don't enable Advertising cookies when you visit our website. Or if you've already accepted them, change your settings here and we'll stop the tracking immediately.
The reason for this tracking is so that we can advertise deals or mobile networks you've clicked on at simsherpa.com, when you're using Facebook or their other apps like Instagram.
It's Meta that collects your data on our website. Their script collects this data while you're on our website. We don't collect data, store it and pass it on ourselves.
There is no transfer of your personal data from Meta to us. We can't see your profile information or anything that can help us identify you.
We don't do email marketing. We don't have a database of email addresses. And we don't collect and store email addresses to be used as a mailing list by us, or any third party. Nor have we ever bought a mailing list containing people's email addresses.
We do however have a tool on our website that lets you send yourself an email containing a deal that you have clicked on. This tool does not store your email address.
The code simply sends you a one-time email to the address you provide and keeps no record of who it has sent emails to. The only way we could see who it has sent emails to is if you reply to the email.
✔ Companies other than SIM Sherpa
SIM Sherpa is what's known as an affiliate website. We work with mobile networks to promote their products and receive commission when you click on a deal here and make a purchase on the mobile network's website.
This is tracked via the link you click from our website onto theirs via an "affiliate network". These are middlemen companies that can track clicks on our website (when you hit a link) and orders on mobile network websites.
We also don't ask the mobile network for any personal details about you like your name, mobile number, email address, home address or anything else.
No mobile network has ever asked us for these details off us either. And if they did, we wouldn't and couldn't supply them.
If you don't like the idea of your visit to a third party website being tracked, do not follow links from simsherpa.com to any other website. That way, nothing will ever be tracked.
You are entitled to view, amend, or delete the personal information that we hold. Email your request to our data protection officer at email@example.com or write to us at (simsherpa.com), Black Hall Farm Traice Road, Fundenhall, Norwich, England, NR16 1HQ.
