BT's best SIM only deals
The best overall SIM only deal this month on BT Mobile
Looking at all BT Mobile's options on SIM only this May, the deal that jumps out to us is their 40GB for £15 one below. It's a 24‑month plan and comes with unlimited minutes and texts too:
While this is a good enough deal to make it into the best of BT's SIMs, you can beat it for price (even if you definitely want a provider that uses the EE network). Here's which other networks can beat it:
We also like their £8 for 5GB plan
For those with smaller data needs, we'd say this is one of BT's best deals on SIM only this month too. It's a 24‑month plan, comes with 5GB data, unlimited minutes and texts for £8 a month:
It's a good enough deal to get into BT's best SIMs but you can actually get a lower price for a similar plan elsewhere, even if you definitely want it to use the EE network. See where you can get it for less here:
Their 10GB for £10 SIM is another good option
To satisfy bigger data needs, have a look at BT Mobile's 10GB SIM below at £10 a month, as it's another good deal. It's on a 24‑month plan and comes with 10GB data, unlimited minutes and texts:
In comparison to the rest of BT's current SIM only plans, it's one of the best. But it is beatable on price, even if you're set on joining a provider that uses the EE network. Here are the networks offering it cheaper:

How BT Mobile’s SIM only prices and benefits compare
In our review of BT Mobile, we showed that one of the best things about them is their network. You get full access to EE’s brilliant 4G and 5G networks and they also offer a brilliant WiFi calling and WiFi hotspot schemes.
Their pay monthly SIM only plans are available on either 12-month or 24-month contracts. Their longer 24-month contracts usually save you money in the long term, but you should compare prices to look for the best current deal.
BT’s most competitive plans are their mid-range data plans on 24-month contracts. And if you’re a BT broadband customer, you can get a flat £5 discount, which makes their plans much better value.
They offer some nice benefits for the price. BT offer inclusive roaming in 47 EU destinations and let you use up to 50GB while abroad, as well as offering great discounts on family plans and free access to the BT Sports app.

Useful information about BT’s SIM only deals
BT will ship your SIM card to you within 3 working days and the package you receive will contain each size of SIM card, meaning you can pop it out and use it in any phone. They don’t yet offer eSIMs (see the networks that do here).
When you buy something online it’s your right as the customer to return your SIM card within 14 days of its arrival to get a full refund. But BT actually offer 30 days to trial their network risk-free.
You will be subject to a credit check to get a BT SIM only deal, even if you already have BT’s broadband. There are no pay as you go options to avoid this. You'll pay by direct debit from your bank account.
Finally, if you want to switch to BT from another network while keeping your number, you can do so. Just follow their instructions here by getting a PAC from your old provider and give it to BT at any point.
