Here's what we think O2 will do for their offers on phone contracts and SIM only over the coming Black Friday period. Last updated: 4th November 2021.
Black Friday on O2
O2 may provide bigger deals than usual this Black Friday
O2 aren’t traditionally a big player for Black Friday deals. However, as last year’s Black Friday was their best ever and as their deals have got more generous over the year we could see a lot from them as Black Friday rolls around.
If trends continue we could see big reductions on the price of select phones and tablets on long term contracts, as well as good savings on larger SIM only data deals. These deals will likely last from about a week before Black Friday until two weeks after the date.
On phone contracts, O2 offered great discounts on the newest models from big brand phone companies and they’ll likely keep up with this. They also offer discounts when trading in an older phone model.
On SIM only, we could see them beating their current best SIM only offers. But only on larger data deals, as it’s likely their smaller data deals won’t be affected much. They’ll also likely throw in a long term subscription to Disney+ as a bonus.

O2 have been getting more and more generous with SIM only deals this year. That said, it’s likely we’ll see even better deals as Black Friday rolls around on these current offers:

Great savings on phone contracts this Black Friday
Without a doubt the best part of O2’s Black Friday savings last year was their discounts on new phone models. These gave you big reductions on the monthly cost of phones on a 36-month contract for a massive overall discount. The time span and size of the reduction varied per phone.
Their biggest deal was a £400 discount on the overall cost of the Samsung Galaxy S20 Ultra with a 5GB data plan. Or you could have got a £328 discount for an unlimited data plan on the same phone. They also offered savings of up to £288 off the iPhone 11 with an unlimited data plan.
We could see similar sorts of deals this year. Keep in mind that they’ll probably offer bigger discounts on smaller data deals than bigger ones, but all of their deals are still very good. Like last year we expect all contracts to offer at least a free six months subscription to Disney+.
