Looking at all giffgaff's options on SIM only this March, the deal that jumps out to us is their 20GB for £10 one below. It's a 1‑month plan and comes with unlimited minutes and texts too:

While this is a good enough deal to make it into the best of giffgaff's SIMs, you can beat it for price (even if you definitely want a provider that uses the O2 network). Here's which other networks can beat it:

We also like their £6 for 2GB plan

For those with smaller data needs, we'd say this is one of giffgaff's best deals on SIM only this month too. It's a 1‑month plan, comes with 2GB data, unlimited minutes and texts for £6 a month:

It's a good enough deal to get into giffgaff's best SIMs but you can actually get a lower price for a similar plan elsewhere, even if you definitely want it to use the O2 network. See where you can get it for less here:

Their 26GB for £12 SIM is another good option

To satisfy even bigger data needs, have a look at giffgaff's 26GB SIM below at £12 a month, as it's another good deal. It's on a 1‑month plan and comes with 26GB data, unlimited minutes and texts:

In comparison to the rest of giffgaff's current SIM only plans, it's one of the best. But it is beatable on price, even if you're set on joining a provider that uses the O2 network. Here are the networks offering it cheaper:

As we show in our full review of giffgaff, we like that you get full access to O2’s network, including 5G, for a much lower price than being on O2 directly. You also get a decent free WiFi hotspot scheme.

giffgaff market their SIM only deals (their “goodybags”) as monthly bundles of minutes, texts and data with no contracts. Compare their plans here to find the best possible deal.

Their best value plans are their mid-range data deals. For these they work out as one of the cheapest providers on the O2 network (alongside Sky Mobile and Tesco Mobile).

giffgaff are pretty much a no-frills network. They do offer £5 free credit on your first £10 top up and if you get a friend to join giffgaff both you and your friend will get £5 free credit. They also offer inclusive EU roaming as standard.

Your giffgaff SIM will be delivered within 2 working days, and you can get it delivered to the EU within 3-5 working days or even to anywhere else in the world around 5+ days after ordering. They don’t offer eSIMs (see the networks that do).

It’s your right as a customer to get your SIM refunded within the first 14 days of receiving it. But you’ll only get back what you haven’t used, so if you used up a little bit of data you won’t get a full refund. Here’s how you do it.

Since you’re paying for your minutes, texts and data up front then you won’t have to pass a credit check for their SIM only plans. You’ll just have to give them some details so they know who you are.

If you want to switch to giffgaff from another network while keeping your old number you can do so by requesting a PAC from your old provider to give to giffgaff. You can read their instructions on how this works here.
