As we say in our Plusnet network review we like the fact they get access to EE’s brilliant 4G network which covers more of the UK’s landmass and offers faster 4G data speeds than any other provider.
On SIM only you’ve got the choice of 1-month or 12-month contracts. Their 12-month contracts tend to be cheaper per month or include a reward, but it’s worth checking for the best current deal.
Plusnet are usually the cheapest network on EE for 1-month contracts. And if you’re a Plusnet broadband customer you get access to exclusive deals and an extra 2GB data boost, adding a little extra value for your loyalty.
In terms of benefits, Plusnet are pretty low-frills. They do offer inclusive roaming in 40 EU destinations. But you’re missing out on data rollover and free streaming data that similar providers offer.

Useful information about Plusnet’s SIM only deals
Your Plusnet SIM card should be dispatched within 1-2 working days. You’ll receive a package with each size of SIM card included, so you can fit it into any phone. They don’t yet offer eSIMs (see the networks that do).
Once your SIM card arrives, you have 14 days to return your SIM to get a full refund if you’re not satisfied. If you’ve used your SIM you might not get a full refund and you’ll also have to call them to cancel. Here’s how you do it.
You’ll have to pass a credit check to get on a Plusnet SIM only contract. If you fail a credit check there’s no way to get an upfront bundle or pay as you go option to avoid this.
If you’re switching to Plusnet from another network you’ll have to request a PAC from your current provider and give it to Plusnet at any point. Here’s full info on how to do that.
