Best providers that include Switzerland in roaming

O2, 1pMobile and Three are our standout choices

Our number one pick for inclusive roaming in Switzerland are O2. And that’s with good reason. They include Switzerland in their European roaming list at no added cost on all plans.

O2 let you use up to 25GB of your data allowance while you’re there, if your plan has that much. That is a very generous amount. And unlimited calls to Swiss and EU numbers are also included while there.

1pMobile are another great option. They let you use up to 14GB of data and make calls to Swiss, UK and EU numbers at no extra cost. And 1p offer low-cost plans on the EE network in the first place.

Lastly, Three don’t include roaming in Switzerland on all plans but do include it on their mid-range Value plans which are still relatively cheap, if you use our exclusives. And they let you use up to 12GB and your regular mins while there.

Talkmobile miss out on our top spots as they have more restrictive limits than the networks above. You can use up to 5GB in Switzerland if your plan has more than that. But you can call EU and Swiss numbers for free.

Honest Mobile are a bit different than the rest. They let you roam in Switzerland at no extra cost for 5 consecutive days. After that you’ll have to pay £2 per day to use your allowance in Switzerland.

spusu and Mozillion offer inclusive roaming in Switzerland on all plans but have different limits on each deal which can be restrictive on smaller plans. And spusu charge extra for calls to Swiss numbers.

Lastly, Tesco Mobile let you roam in Switzerland on all plans at no added cost and use all your plan’s mins and data there. But they’ll remove this in 2026, which isn’t ideal if you want to join on a long-term deal.

Vodafone and EE include Swiss roaming on premium plans

Vodafone are a good choice for roaming in Switzerland if you’re willing to pay extra for one of their premium plans with inclusive roaming. Their “Euro Roam” or “Global Roam” plans let you roam in Switzerland.

Their fair usage limits while there are pretty generous. You can use up to 25GB of your data if your plan gives you more than that and you can make calls to EU and Swiss numbers at no extra cost.

EE have a similar scheme, including roaming in Switzerland on their higher end premium plans. You can call EU and Swiss numbers at no added cost like on Vodafone and use up to a very generous 50GB of your allowance.

The reason we don’t put these higher is that you have to join a more expensive plan to roam in Switzerland, meaning you pay extra anyway. But they’re still worth a look as their actual schemes are very flexible.

Sky and VOXI make you pay per day to roam in Switzerland

The next group of networks let you use your allowance in Switzerland at a daily cost. Sky Mobile let you use up to 25GB of data if your plan is over that and call EU and Swiss numbers for a £2 daily rate.

VOXI have a very similar scheme. They let you use up to 20GB in Switzerland if your plan has more than that and make calls to EU and Swiss numbers for a rate of £2 a day. In both cases that can add up quickly.

But VOXI do have some longer roaming passes that are better value per day. You can pay £4 for 2 days, £8 for 8 days or £15 for 15 days. These can save you quite a lot if you’re going away for a while.

In fairness, Sky and VOXI’s plans are a lot cheaper than Vodafone and EE’s in the first place. Still, we’d say most of the networks above are better if you need to roam regularly in Switzerland.

Networks that don’t include Swiss roaming

You can’t use your UK plan in Switzerland on these networks

Pay As You Go to roam on these

The rest of the networks in this list don’t let you use your UK allowances in Switzerland. Instead you’ll have to pay extra for your mins, texts and data usage while in Switzerland.

It’s odd that Lebara, Lyca Mobile, Co-Op, iD and SMARTY don’t include Swiss roaming as standard. They have great EU roaming schemes with flexible roaming policies but have chosen not to include Switzerland as they’re not in the EU or EEA.

ASDA Mobile and giffgaff also have decent EU roaming schemes with more restrictive fair usage policies. We can see why they wouldn’t offer Swiss roaming, but it’s still a downside in our eyes.

Lastly, Ecotalk don’t offer inclusive EU roaming either so it’s no shock that they don’t offer roaming in Switzerland. Either way, these networks won’t be good choices for anyone looking to roam in Switzerland.
