Best Black Friday offers on SIM only

There is still time to get your SIM only deal sorted

We’ve picked the best dealsSkip to best offers

at simsherpa.com

Even though Black Friday has been and gone, most of the offers released are still available to buy. We’ve picked out the best of the best here.

But if you’re in a hurry, check each of the dropdowns below depending on what you need. We’ve listed each network’s most competitive offer for each of the categories (or you can browse by network here):

In the rest of this guide, we use our experience tracking offers all year, to tell you which Black Friday deals are genuine and which are just a bit of marketing. Choose where to go next below.

Our pick of the best deals

Best offers on main networks (EE, O2, Three, Vodafone)

100GB for £10 and an O2 SIM card

New customers only: ends 4th DecOrder exclusive deal

at O2.co.uk
(opens in new window)

It’s O2 with the surprise best offer of any major network this Black Friday. We’ve got an exclusive deal here for new customers, which gives you an epic 100GB for just £10. Order by 4th December:

We’re also big fans of this from the UK’s fastest 5G network Three. The plan even includes EU roaming (their normal plans don’t) and it’s an exclusive low price for 30GB data (triple the UK average usage):

Meanwhile, if you want to join Vodafone, we’d recommend doing it via Carphone Warehouse. You join the full network in the normal way but they’ll also pay you cashback automatically, on an already-cheaper deal:

EE have the weakest of the deals with this 25GB for £18 Black Friday SIM that looks positively expensive vs the rest of the major networks.

Even more great deals on the smaller networks

30GB for £6.95

Superb value on Vodafone’s networkOrder exclusive deal

at talkmobile.co.uk
(opens in new window)

We’re big fans of Talkmobile generally. They use the reliable Vodafone 4G/5G network, have WiFi calling and even customer service you can call. That makes their 30GB deal here our favourite for genuine value:

For massive data users, iD Mobile on the Three network are winning out for us, with this exclusive deal that was around even before Black Friday. Superfast 5G, EU roaming and no commitment:

To get on the EE network, Lyca Mobile have a brilliantly priced 24-month deal here. It’s a little longer to commit to but if you sign up and you’re not totally happy, you have 14 days to change your mind:

Or for no commitments on EE’s network and extras like WiFi calling and UK-based customer service on the phone, this spusu deal has been popular all year. It’s not a Black Friday deal but it is still a bargain:

1pMobile: nothing new for Black Friday

1pMobile Black Friday offer of 50GB for £10

Last year’s offer is still liveGet this deal

at 1pmobile.com
(opens in new window)

As expected, 1pMobile haven’t launched any Black Friday specific offers. But we wouldn’t let that dampen your spirits too much. We still think they offer the closest experience to being on EE direct.

That makes their already cheap deals excellent value anyway in the scheme of things. We think this is their clear standout deal (but check the dropdown for more):

If 1pMobile do do anything for Black Friday, we think it will be very last minute and only for a short period. They don’t have the budget to throw deep discounts at people for a long time.

Three: a quiet Black Friday but our exclusives are good

80GB for £10

We have a better unlimited dealGet hidden offer

at three.co.uk
(opens in new window)

Historically, Three were one of the main players on SIM only at Black Friday. This year, the only specific offer they’ve they’ve launched is unlimited data for £20 on a 24-month contract. Our exclusive is better though:

This massive 80GB deal on the UK’s fastest 5G network is impressive and is exclusively available for our readers (it’s not advertised direct):

We also like this smaller 30GB deal. That’s 3x what the average UK user will get through and it even comes with EU roaming and 6 months of free Paramount+ streaming service:

EE’s Black Friday deals are focused on phone contracts

Black Friday deals

Deals on devices onlySee EE alternatives

at simsherpa.com
(opens in new window)

EE don’t really bother competing for price at Black Friday or ever. So it’s no surprise to see their SIM only deals aren’t particularly overwhelming (they’re mainly focused on phones).

If we had to pick this is probably the best. It’s worth looking at smaller providers that use EE’s network as an alternative if this doesn’t float your boat:

A generally quiet Black Friday for EE on SIM only.

giffgaff: an excellent unlimited data deal for £15

Unlimited data for £15 on a black background

Genuinely their best deal everGet your SIM here

at giffgaff.com
(opens in new window)

We said it in our prediction: giffgaff don’t really dabble in SIM only offers for Black Friday. They just focus on their phone contracts. That said, they have got one key standout offer live until 4th December.

This deal gives you genuinely unlimited data (it’s not like their old ‘Always On’ plan) and was priced at £25 for many years. So the £10 discount adding up to £180 is real:

Other than that, it’s their standard mix of SIMs as predicted.

iD Mobile: exclusives boosted with more data

20GB for £6 deal

The UK’s best priceGet this deal

at idmobile.co.uk
(opens in new window)

We think you can ignore any of the Black Friday Event offers at idmobile.co.uk. We can beat them all with our range of exclusive deals iD have sent us, on just short 1-month plans (instead of 12 or 24 months).

The best is this 20GB plan. It’s been boosted with 5GB vs prior to Black Friday, so it’s a genuine deal, with enough data to cover double the UK’s average usage:

At the much bigger end of things, this isn’t even a Black Friday deal but it’s been selling very well:

For everything in between, check the dropdown here:

Once again, like most years, iD Mobile have thrown the kitchen sink at Black Friday.

Lyca Mobile: 3 months half price Black Friday offers

Lyca Mobile offer from last year on SIM only

3 months half price on most plansChoose your plan

at lycamobile.co.uk
(opens in new window)

Lyca’s Black Friday offers are live until 8th December. For short-term low prices, they’re offering 3 months half price on all these 1-month plans. This is a genuine new offer (previously two months).

This has proven the most popular so far but check under the dropdown for the full range:

But if you’re willing to commit to a contract, you can get a much longer-term low price with their pay monthly Black Friday deals. Unlike their short term offers, you won’t need to switch again quickly to keep a low price:

It’s a superb set of deals and a great, cheap way to get on the EE network this November and December.

Mozillion: half price Black Friday offer

100GB for £12 lettering

Reduced by £2 a monthGet this deal

at mozillion.com
(opens in new window)

This is our first year tracking Mozillion at Black Friday. They’re mainly interested in phone deals at this time of year but they have got one nice-enough little offer on SIM only:

It’s pretty decent but the discount is short-lived (just one month). And the ongoing rate of £13 did actually used to be £12 just a month ago.

We were hoping for a few more discounts from Mozillion. They have a habit of trimming £1 or £2 off their deals every now and then, before putting them back up. They’ve not done this for Black Friday though.

O2: exclusive Black Friday SIMs available now

O2 100GB for £10 and an O2 SIM card

New customers only, ends 4th DecOrder this plan

at O2.co.uk
(opens in new window)

O2 have sent us some great Black Friday deals to share with our readers. But you’ll need to be quick: they only last until 4th December. Our favourite is this 100GB plan, which is startling value for a major network:

If you don’t need that much, you can also save a few pounds by taking this cheaper deal with less data. It’s also only for new customers and lasts until 4th December:

On the main part of O2’s website, their hero Black Friday offer is a very tidy unlimited data for £20 deal, which has genuinely been in the mid-£20 range for the last years. This ends 10th December:

This is definitely O2’s best Black Friday we’ve witnessed, so worth investing now. We think these prices will go straight back up.

Sky Mobile’s exclusives are better than Black Friday plans

10GB for £6

It’s an exclusive hidden offerOrder it here

at sky.com
(opens in new window)

Despite launching some new SIM offers badged up as Black Friday, we have plenty of exclusive deals which are better value. Particularly this 10GB deal for just £6 a month:

Only cheapy cheap networks are beating that at the moment. It’s available until 17th December. Sky’s other exclusive 50GB for £11 offer is also good value for an O2-based network:

No last minute deals from Sky this year. The above ones have been available most the month. Still, this is the best value we’ve seen from them all year.

SMARTY: no last minute surprises, but great value

SMARTY Black Friday SIM

Order by 8th DecemberGet this deal

at smarty.co.uk
(opens in new window)

SMARTY have sent us a range of exclusive plans for Black Friday to share with our readers, which all last until 1st December. Check under the dropdown here:

But we actually think their best deal is the main one advertised to everyone on their website. It gives you five times more data than the average person in the UK uses for just £8:

Or for massive data users, this whopping 250GB plan has been popular recently too, even though it’s not a Black Friday specific deal:

Useful link: Read our SMARTY review

spusu: no new Black Friday offers but still great value

spusu 20GB for £6.90 deal

Great value all year roundGet this deal

at spusu.co.uk
(opens in new window)

In the run up to Black Friday, spusu indicated to us they wouldn’t be launching any short term offers. But their main range of exclusive SIM only plans is more than enough to beat most networks on price.

There’s pretty much a market-leading plan for every data usage amount on spusu, check under dropdown here for the full list.

If you’re stuck for which to take, the 20GB deal below is proving our most popular. It gives you twice what the average UK user gets through at a market leading price on the EE network:

Talkmobile: Black Friday’s here but we have better exclusives

Talkmobile Black Friday offer from last year

Easily Talkmobile’s best offerGet exclusive plan

at talkmobile.co.uk
(opens in new window)

Black Friday started on 21st November on Talkmobile’s website, with this 3 months half price offer on a 12-month contract averaging out to £10.45 a month over the year:

But we actually have a range of exclusive 1-month plans that beat all the others on the main part of their website. These two deals are proving the most popular:

But there’s plenty more under here too:

We’re big fans of Talkmobile in general. Their deals are cheap, they use Vodafone and their telephone based customer service has always been decent when we’ve used them.

We think the leading value over Black Friday for your £10 is from O2. You can get an astonishing 100GB for your tenner when you order by 4th December, including EU roaming:

This iD Mobile exclusive deal using the Three network has been around a while. But their on-site Black Friday deals still can’t beat its value and flexibility, on just a 1-month contract with EU roaming:

This is an absolutely massive exclusive offer from Talkmobile on the Vodafone network. It’s not a Black Friday specific deal (which are now live on Talkmobile) but it doesn’t need to be. It’s already exceptional value:

Or to get on the EE network, this is only a 1-month contract on spusu and it gives you a discount down to £9.90 for your first year:

For just an outrageous low price, we really like Lebara’s deal here on the Vodafone network. You now get 4 months for just £2.10 a month. And it’s a 1-month deal, so you can leave whenever you like!

We also think it’s hard to fault this exclusive plan on spusu, which uses the full speed EE network:

This is another brilliant low price main network offer on O2. It gives you full speeds, EU roaming and all normal O2 features. You will need to be a new customer to O2 though:

Meanwhile for a low cost deal on the full Vodafone network, it’s Talkmobile that win out at the moment:

On the O2 network giffgaff have got this flat-priced £15 unlimited data SIM on sale until 4th December (it’s not one of their Always On plans either, which had capped speeds):

Are there SIM only deals on Black Friday?

Yes. Most networks publish new deals around the Black Friday period. It’s typically the best time of year to join on a new SIM only deal. We go over which deals are genuine below.

Is Black Friday a good time to buy a SIM only deal?

Definitely. If the provider you want to join has some genuine Black Friday offers going, it’s normally the best time to join them.

Are these Black Friday SIM only deals genuine?

That depends on the network. Some offer the same deals that they’ve already offered throughout the year. Some rebrand already existing deals as “Black Friday” deals. We go over which ones are genuine below.

When will SIM only offers go live for Black Friday?

This is different per network. You sometimes see networks offering Black Friday SIM deals up to 3 weeks before the actual date, while some only bring them out on the date.m

Will SIM only be cheaper on Black Friday?

It depends on the network and plan. Most providers will pick two or three plans to discount or have at promotional prices. But don’t expect every single deal to get cheaper.

How long will these Black Friday deals last?

This depends on each network. Some keep their Black Friday deals up for longer than others. They’re usually kept up for about two weeks, while some networks keep their deals up for just a couple of days.
