How the 6 months half price sale worked at a glance

Vodafone started the year with a generous winter sale that really was as simple as it sounded: your monthly charge for your phone or SIM would be half price for the first 6 months.
On a 12-month SIM only deal, this was the equivalent to 25% off over 12 months and on a 24-month phone contract, it was like getting 12.5% off.
Remember if the phone came with an upfront cost or if you ran up any extra charges for usage, you would still have to pay these at full price.

You got 6 months half price on these Vodafone SIM only plans
Savings between £45 and £111 over 6 months on SIM only
The 6 months half price offer was available on all of Vodafone's 12-month SIM only contracts with 1GB and above (the two smallest 250MB and 500MB plans were not in the offer).
The cheapest plan available was their £15 £7.50 a month SIM only plan, which came with a respectable 1GB data and 1000 UK minutes.
But the offer applied to 7 other plans too, each with more minutes and data.

You could combine a 6 month saving with NOW TV, Spotify Premium or Sky Sports Mobile TV
On Vodafone's more premium SIM only contracts, you also got an entertainment subscription included too, as well as your 6-month saving.
You chose from a NOW TV pass, Spotify Premium subscription or access to Sky Sports Mobile TV when you signed up to a plan from £27 £13.50 a month.
These plans also gave you a monthly allowance of roaming data to use in selected countries abroad from 2GB to 4GB.

You could pick any phone from Vodafone on a 2GB to 20GB plan to get the discount
The 6 months half price sale was not limited to any particular make or model of phone. The only limitations were on the tariffs you got your phone with but most were included.
You chose from 7 tariffs that came with between 2GB and 20GB data. Only the very highest 24GB and 30GB and lowest 250MB, 500MB and 1GB tariffs were not included.

Starting from £15 a month (for 6 months, then £30) with £10 upfront, you could get any iPhone model in Vodafone's range with 6 months half price.
You had to take a tariff with between 2GB and 20GB to get the discount.

Any Samsung Galaxy model was half price for 6 months
All the Samsung Galaxy phones on Vodafone were available with 6 months half price as long as you took them on a tariff that came with 2GB or more (max 20GB) data.
The biggest saving was £176 on the Samsung Galaxy S7 edge on their 20GB tariff.
