It's just got cheaper than ever to join Three on a SIM only deal, with two new plans launching from just £5. Here's our guide to what you get. Last updated: 23rd March 2017
✔ The deal is far cheaper than other leading networks
Three have just launched their cheapest SIM only plan for years, costing just £5 a month. It gives you 200 minutes, unlimited texts and 500MB of 4G data (see more plan details here).
Who's it right for?
It's aimed at light users, who maybe want to use their phone for internet browsing for under an hour a day, check emails and social media but never do any data-heavy activities like watching videos or streaming music.
At £5 a month, it's by far the cheapest way to join a major network compared to Vodafone (£9.50), EE (£9.99) or O2 (£10).
Here's the deal in summary:
✔ Enjoy Three's award-winning network.
Three's £5 deal comes with 4G at no extra cost, which you can enjoy on Three's award-winning network (remember to check your Three coverage here).
What you don't get:
Two keep benefits not included in the plan are Three' free roaming in 42 countries and the ability to use your phone as a personal hotspot
See your next best option further below if you want either of these.

✔ Free roaming in 42 countries for £7 a month
While their £5 plan is on one of Three's no-frills Essential plans, for £7 a month, you get exactly the same monthly minutes, texts and data but with all the added benefits of an Advanced plan (see £7 plan details here).
Most importantly you'll get Feel-At-Home, Three's best-known benefit, allowing you to use your phone at no extra cost abroad in 42 countries.
You'll also be allowed to use your phone as a personal hotsport (otherwise known as tethering), which you can't do on their Essential plan.
