How the offer works

Join Three on pay monthly for free upgrades on easyJet flights from the UK

On top of Three's highly-rated Go Roam inclusive roaming benefit, pay monthly customers are also now entitled to claim a free upgrade to easyJet's Hands Free service when you fly from UK airports.

The Hands Free service lets you drop off of your cabin bag at an easyJet Plus Bag Drop to avoid the queues at check in. And they'll be tagged as Priority, so they'll be on the carousel first at your destination.

If there's anything you definitely want to take on board with you, easyJet will give you a free Three 'tote bag'. Otherwise you'll be able to go through security with no hand luggage (which works out quicker).

All these pay monthly SIM only deals come with free easyJet upgrades:

Once you're at the plane, you'll be able to get on at your leisure without the faff of dealing with your hand luggage and competing for locker space.

The whole service would normally cost £7 extra one way. So having it as a free benefit from Three can stack up quickly in terms of value. Three haven't raised their prices for the offer, so it's a genuine freebie too.

Once you've been on a Three pay monthly plan for at least 30 days, it's pretty straightforward to claim your Hands Free upgrade when you fly. First you just buy an easyJet flight in the usual way. You don't need to select anything extra while you book.

Then text 88555 with your details (full explanation of what's needed here) to generate a unique code to get your upgrade.

Once you get to the airport on the day of your flight, go up to one of the easyJet Plus Bag Drop desks, show them the code and they'll handle everything from there.

Getting a free upgrade on your flight abroad ties in very well with Three's most famous benefit: free roaming in these 71 countries with Go Roam (previously known as Feel At Home).

It also comes on top of their newer benefit Go Binge unlimited free streaming data on Netflix and these other apps that you get with any Advanced pay monthly plan with 12GB data or more.

5G is also now a reality for Three customers, with all plans being sold as "5G-ready". This means 5G-enabled phones will get access to the 5G network at no extra cost when they're in a location with 5G coverage.

Added together with decent 4G and 3G coverage (check yours here) and our best-rated WiFi calling scheme, we really do think Three delivers the best-allround value in a mobile deal (read our full review here).

If you've already been on a pay monthly phone contract or SIM only plan from Three for at least 30 days, the good news is that you can benefit from their Go Roam Hands Free offer too. It's not just for new customers.

If you're on Pay As You Go you unfortunately don't qualify for the offer. Mobile broadband customers also can't get the benefit.

You can find the very latest full instructions on how to claim your upgrade if you're an existing customer here on the Three website.

We've had a trawl through the terms and conditions of the offer here for you, to find out if there are any sneaky restrictions of limitations and it's mostly good news:

You can use the offer as much as you like. If you're a regular easyJet flier there's no limits on how many times you can benefit from the upgrade.

It does only work on your outbound flight from the UK though. You can't get the same upgrade on your return leg without paying a surcharge with easyJet directly.

It only works for one person, the Three account holder. Other people in your travel party can't get Hands Free without paying extra, unless they're also on Three.

If you're on pay as you go or a mobile broadband SIM or dongle plan with Three, you can't benefit from the offer.

There's no published end date when the promotion finishes.
