Three's free easyJet upgrades offer:
what you get and how to get it

We explain the benefits of Three's free easyJet upgrade offer, find qualifying SIM only plans and phone contracts, plus look for any limitations. SIM Sherpa is your trusty guide. Last updated: July 20th 2018.

How the offer works

Three's Pay Monthly customers get a free upgrade on easyJet flights from the UK

Three's new offer is all about making things easier when you travel from UK airports with easyJet. As a Three customer, you get a free upgrade to easyJet's Hands Free service whenever you fly.

The Hands Free service lets you drop off of your cabin bag at the easyJet Plus Bag Drop to avoid the queues at check in. And they'll be tagged as Priority, so they'll be on the carousel first at your destination.

If there's anything you definitely want to take on board with you, easyJet will give you a free Three 'tote bag'. Otherwise you'll be able to go through security with no hand luggage (which works out quicker).

Once you're at the plane, you'll be able to get on early, without the faff of dealing with your hand luggage.

The whole service would normally cost £5 extra one way. So having it as a free benefit from Three can stack up quickly in terms of value. Three haven't raised their prices for the offer, so it's a genuine freebie too.

Getting a free upgrade on your flight abroad ties in very well with Three's most famous benefit: free roaming in these 71 countries with Go Roam (previously known as Feel At Home).

It also comes on top of their newer benefit Go Binge unlimited free streaming data on Netflix and these other apps that you get with any Advanced pay monthly plan with 12GB data or more.

There's also their daily rewards app Wuntu that treats you even more with regular offers on the high street, online and exclusive freebies.

Added together with decent 4G and 3G coverage (check yours here) and our best-rated WiFi calling scheme inTouch, we really do think Three delivers the best-allround value in a mobile deal (read our full review here).

How to take advantage

If you've already got a pay monthly phone contract or SIM only plan from Three, the good news is that you can benefit from their Go Roam Hands Free offer too. It's not just for new customers.

If you're on Pay As You Go, or mobile broadband, unfortunately you don't qualify for the offer. You'd need to switch or add a pay monthly phone contract or SIM only plan to your account.

If you qualify, it's easy to get your upgrade with easyJet. You just send a text from your Three phone with your flight number, get back a confirmation, and then show that at the desk at the airport.

You can find the very latest full instructions and the number to text here on the Three website.

Terms and conditions

There are no huge limitations to Three's easyJet offer

We've had a trawl through the terms and conditions of the offer here for you, to find out if there are any sneaky restrictions of limitations and it's mostly good news:

You can use the offer as much as you like. If you're a regular easyJet flier there's no limits on how many times you can benefit from the upgrade.

It does only work on your outbound flight from the UK though. You can't get the same upgrade on your return leg without paying a surcharge with easyJet directly.

It only works for one person, the Three account holder. Other people in your travel party can't get Hands Free without paying extra, unless they're also on Three.

If you're on pay as you go or a mobile broadband SIM or dongle plan with Three, you can't benefit from the offer.

There's no published end date when the promotion finishes.
