We're live tracking every UK mobile network's Black Friday offers on SIM only plans, to help you pick up a genuine bargain. Last updated: 24th November 2023
✔ Basically every network has offersCompare all deals
Here we are then. We now know what every UK mobile network has on offer on their SIM only deals for Black Friday. Here's what's in our guide:
See our overall best rated deals
See what each network's offering
Yes. Most networks publish new deals around the Black Friday period. It’s typically the best time of year to join on a new SIM only deal. We go over which deals are genuine below.
Definitely. If the provider you want to join has some genuine Black Friday offers going, it’s normally the best time to join them.
That depends on the network. Some offer the same deals that they’ve already offered throughout the year. Some rebrand already existing deals as “Black Friday” deals. We go over which ones are genuine below.
This is different per network. You sometimes see networks offering Black Friday SIM deals up to 3 weeks before the actual date, while some only bring them out on the date.m
It depends on the network and plan. Most providers will pick two or three plans to discount or have at promotional prices. But don’t expect every single deal to get cheaper.
This depends on each network. Some keep their Black Friday deals up for longer than others. They’re usually kept up for about two weeks, while some networks keep their deals up for just a couple of days.
If you're in a hurry, here's our pick of the very best Black Friday deals on SIM only that will fit a variety of people's monthly needs. We think this Three deal will be the most popular:
It's a cracking amount of data most people would never get through, on a vastly improved 4G/5G network at historically low price.
This 1-month plan on Talkmobile (on Vodafone's 5G network) with EU roaming is superb value too:
We also think this Lyca Mobile deal on the EE network is going to make waves for that really low monthly price. It does go back up after 6 months but you're free to compare and leave whenever:

Out of the main networks (EE, O2, Vodafone and Three), only O2 and Three have already declared what their SIM only deals will be over the Black Friday period.
Three have got a very impressive range of deals to suit anyone, which you can see under the dropdown here.
And we're pleased to see O2 making an effort this year. This is unusually good value from them when you order by 6th December:
Vodafone, this is the bottom end of price you ever see on their full-speed unlimited data:
EE have re-packaged an existing 6 months half price offer as Black Friday.

The best Black Friday price for unlimited data is from SMARTY on the Three network:
If you'd prefer a different network, this deal on Talkmobile uses Vodafone and is also excellent value:

This Vodafone deal via Carphone Warehouse is already good value but they're throwing in an automatic Currys Gift Card too, which you don't need to claim:
If you remember to compare again in 12 months time, this Lyca Mobile deal on EE is exceptional value:
This Three deal will also be very popular:

Three are always the best main network over Black Friday and they've sent us a range of hidden offers to suit anyone's needs.

It's fair to say giffgaff only really ever think about their phone contracts over the Black&nsbp;Friday period. It's another year of basically nothing on SIM only.
There's a bit of black theming on their SIM only page and the closest we have to an offer is 380GB extra free for your first 6 months on this plan, making it 500GB:
Unlimited minutes + Unlimited texts + 120GB data (5G) = £20 a month (18‑month contract)
See full deal
The offer makes little sense to us. Either you need that extra data or you don't. If you need it, you'll need to change six months in. If you don't, why would you buy it?! It's available until February too, so not even a Black Friday special.

As in previous years, iD Mobile have gone early with Black Friday deals on SIM only. There's basically extra data across almost their entire range.
Because there are so many combinations of data amounts and contract lengths, the best thing to do is use our SIM only deal comparison tool below.
If we had to pick out a best deal, we'd go for one of their 1-month contracts for flexibility. This double data SIM here is huge value:
Unlimited minutes + Unlimited texts + 4GB 8GB data (5G) = £6 a month (1‑month contract)
See full deal
iD's website says the deals will be around until 29th November.

As predicted, Tesco have gone with Black Friday offers aimed at Clubcard holders. You can pick one up free though if you haven't got one. At the time of writing, this is the best priced 30GB deal on an O2-network:
You'll get £40 of Clubcard vouchers when you order this 100GB SIM:

If Black Friday's about outright low prices, Lyca (on EE) are winning. Though it's worth noting the discount prices only last for 6 or 12 months. But you're free to compare and leave whenever, as they're only 1-month plans:

Normally over the Black Friday period we complain about O2 only offering large data plans for £20 or so. But this year, they've been more generous. This 30GB plan is a historically low price for O2 and a genuine deal:
It's available until 6th December and comes with all the usual O2 benefits of EU roaming, O2 Priority rewards and their excellent UK coverage.
If you need more data and want worldwide roaming included, we also really like this deal too:
Together, that's a good set of O2 deals and the best we've seen from them ever on Black Friday, so worth taking advantage of.

We don't particularly believe the "half price" claim on these Sky SIMs. Those were only ever at the price to be halved. But that doesn't stop these working out as good value:
To add value on top of that, Sky let you stream their TV apps without eating into your data on all plans, even their smallest one. So you can keep up with your favourite shows on the go without eating up your data.

We always know SMARTY are going to put in an effort over Black Friday and we can see their unlimited data deal here being very popular:
It's a 1-month plan but it's worth knowing that price will go back to £20 once you've been with SMARTY for a year.
A couple of years ago, we were celebrating 8GB for £8, now look at SMARTY's other Black Friday SIM:
Both deals are only available until 4th December.

We're big fans of Talkmobile with their 5G through Vodafone and EU roaming. They've got a cheap 1-month deal to fit anyone's monthly data needs:
Unlimited minutes + Unlimited texts + 25GB data (5G) = £6.95 a month (1‑month contract)

You need to be quick on Vodafone as their Black Friday deal literally lasts the weekend into Cyber Monday. Their headline offer is this unlimited data for £20 deal, which we've never seen cheaper:
We also think people will like this Carphone Warehouse deal where they throw in a £50 Gift Card without you having to claim it:

You'll have to move fast on VOXI because their offers only last until Cyber Monday. And they're all genuine deals:
This unlimited data, we've only ever seen go down to £25, so is a very good deal:

1pMobile historically were a traditional pay as you go network, where you top up and pay for what you use out of credit. But they’ve had a re-birth recently, to offering 1-month pay monthly SIMs.
They’re not ones for chopping and changing offers. But we have seen them experiment with a £2.50 discount on their 25GB for £12.50 £10 deal. So we’d expect similar over the Black Friday period.
We’re big fans of 1pMobile as we say in our review of them here. You don’t really need much of a discount, as they’re a quality network on EE with added features like WiFi calling and 5G.
But for that extra bit of value, it could be worth checking back over the Black Friday and Cyber Monday period to see what they do.

Expected launch date: On the day, 24th November 2023
Expected end date: TBC
Last year, we caught EE doing what lots of people fear about Black Friday: that companies put up prices in advance or put on a sneaky offer that looks like a discount but isn’t.
EE’s headline 6 months half price SIM only offers last year actually worked out more expensive than their pre-Black Friday pricing, over the course of the whole contract.
Yes you got 6 months half price, but the ongoing rate after that was higher, to the point that they’d claw back the entire discount over the rest of the contract.
It’s not what we want to see this year. Will EE go a bit more straightforward? Let’s hope so. Don’t expect their offers to hang around long. They tend to come and go over the weekend.

Expected end date: 30th November 2023
For last Black Friday, Lebara went straight for the bottom on price and offered a 1-month deal that cost just £1.99 in your first six months. You could leave at any time or when the discount was up.
We can easily see them doing the same. Quite often, they’ll do low prices on deals with a limited number of minutes, say 1000. If you know you don’t need 16 hours of calls a month, it’s a great way to save.
They’re also in the habit of sharing hidden offers that trump what’s advertised on the main part of the website. So definitely check back with us over the Black Friday period.
